PCMS Presents the Doric Quartet 

Join fellow alumni for an evening of chamber music with former Harvard faculty member Ying Xue, the second violinist of the Doric Quartet. Following its previous appearances with the Society, the London-based Doric Quartet was so enthusiastically received that it made perfect sense for this esteemed ensemble to open our Beethoven string quartet cycle. After a performance of Beethoven’s Quartet Op. 18, No. 1, The Strad proclaimed: “The Doric moved together with absolute unanimity, like a great sea anemone, and this was reflected in the unity of their sound. There was great wisdom in their Beethoven.”
