Networking Breakfast at the Union League with Professor Michael Useem

The Union League Business Leadership Forum invites Harvard Radcliffe Members to join them in hearing Professor Michael Useem of The Wharton School speak about Effective Leadership on May 21st.

Effective leadership can be mastered, and at the core of that learning should be a Leader’s Checklist, a complete set of vital leadership principles that provide a clear map for navigating through virtually any leadership moment.  From his development work with hundreds of managers and in company leadership programs in the U.S. and abroad, and from interviews with managers confronting a range of critical moments, Michael Useem has concluded that their experience points to a core of just 15 mission-critical leadership principles that vary surprisingly little among organizations.  He identifies and anchors those core principles in the actions of managers facing a host of challenges.

Michael Useem is Professor of Management and Director of the Center for Leadership and Change Management at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.  His university teaching includes MBA and executive-MBA courses on leadership and change, and he offers programs on leadership, teamwork, governance, and decision making for managers in the United States and abroad.  He also works on leadership development and governance with many companies and organizations in the private, public and non-profit sectors.

Coffee and networking at 7:30 AM, and the main program at 8:00 AM. A breakfast buffet will be provided. Copies of Michael’s book, "The Leader’s Checklist and Boards That Lead," will be available for purchase.

The event is free to Harvard Radcliffe Club of Philadelphia members. Register by May 18th.
