HBSCP Presidents Breakfast Club at Night with Elliot Menschik, Founder & Leader of Venturef0rth

Learn about the tech incubator that is creating a community of Philadelphia area entrepreneurs and investors!

On Thursday April 3, the HBS Club of Philadelphia hosts a special "Presidents Breakfast Club at Night."  The event will have a 6:00 p.m. evening venue at Venturef0rth in Center City at 417 N. 8th Street. Venturef0rth is an urban campus and co-working community of Philadelphia tech startups. Currently home to over two dozen early-stage companies, its mission is to do whatever it takes to enable the region's startups to succeed. It is designed as a key on-ramp to the tech ecosystem for entrepreneurs new to Philadelphia. In addition to a community of like-minded peers, it provides access to investors and entrepreneurs-in-residence.  

The speaker will be Elliot Menschik, the founder and leader of Venturef0rth.  He is an Adjunct Associate Professor of the Engineering Entrepreneurship Program in the School of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Pennsylvania.  He is the founder and managing director of Acuity Health a strategic consulting practice focused on “healthtech”. He also devotes some time to advising early-stage technology companies including as a mentor at DreamIt Ventures in Philadelphia and NYC. 

Elliot was previously the founder and CEO of HxTechnologies, a pioneer in health information exchange which he sold to MEDecision in May 2009. Following the acquisition, he served as General Manager at MEDecision with responsibility for commercializing health information exchange (HIE), electronic health record (EHR), personal health record (PHR) and telehealth products and services.

By training Elliot is a physician, neuroscientist and engineer who is the inventor and author of multiple patents and patents pending.  An NIH Fellow in the Medical Scientist Training Program, Elliot received an MD and PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.  He holds MSE and BSEE degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Johns Hopkins University.

Cost:  This event is free to Sponsors, Patrons, and PBC Members. For other HBS Philly Club members and guests of members, the cost is $30 when pre-registered or $40 at the door.
