About Our Topic

You may need Sun Tzu's The Art of War to understand your enemies. But if you prefer to win them over, you need to know the principles embodied in The Art of Woo. Join us to learn The Art of Woo: the ability to win people over to your ideas without force or coercion, using relationship-based, emotionally intelligent persuasion. It is the secret of success with colleagues, clients, and customers. This meeting is not to be missed, combining the engaging presentation skills of Professor Shell, his ground-breaking research on influence and persuasion, and the opportunity to network with fellow Philadelphia-area Ivy Leaguers.

This lecture -- featuring film clips and a personal self-assessment -- will help you find your strengths as a persuader, as Professor Shell shows you how to overcome five main barriers to influencing others. You bring a unique set of skills -- your own "Woo IQ" -- to selling ideas. Your success derives from knowing what these skills are and using them at just the right time with just the right people.
