NEVER ENOUGH Achievement Culture (Virtual)

Join HBS Healthcare Alumni Association for a talk with author Jennifer Wallace, AB '94, about three untapped keys to unlocking a healthy and happy 2024 in a "Never Enough Achievement Culture".

With a recent study that uncovered how 84% out of 1,000 respondents believed that “going above and beyond at work is a must to achieve a successful career" is it any wonder that insecure overachievers are burning out at not only leading professional services firms but also biopharmas as well? After sharing research findings for the when and why of the deep roots of our world's toxic achievement culture, Jennifer will share three practical ideas for attendees to consider as they progress through their upcoming 2024 New Year's resolutions. Finally, Jennifer will share initial insights from her new book, Mattering: Living a Life of Value at Home, at Work, and in the Wider World, which will be published by Penguin Random House and provide candid responses during the Q&A session.
