Fall Opener at the Barnes Philadelphia! ***Tickets on Sale Now!!!***
Join us in welcoming the Barnes Foundation to its new location on the Ben Franklin Parkway at the 2012 Harvard Radcliffe Club of Philadelphia's Fall Opener on Saturday, September 29th.
Our keynote speaker for the event will be Stephen J. Harmelin, Esquire, graduate of the Harvard School of Law, Member of the Barnes Foundation's Board of Trustees, and Co-Chairman of Dilworth Paxson LLP. Stephen will discuss the myriad of factors that compelled the move of the collection from Lower Merion to its new home in Center City. He will provide an insider's look at the challenges of the move and dispel certain aspects of the controversy that reverberated throughout the art world, such as whether the move violated the wishes of Dr. Albert C. Barnes.
Ticket prices include access to the Barnes Collection and a glass of wine or beer. Light appetizers will be served and cash bar available. Limited parking in the Barnes Lot (Entrance at 2024 Pennsylvania Avenue).
Sustaining Members may bring up to 3 guests at the regular member price.
