Fireside Chat on the Transformation of Financial Services
The Wharton Women's Network invites Harvard Club members to a fireside chat with Sarah Hammer, Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, Senior Director of the Alternative Investments Initiative at Wharton, former Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary for Financial Institutions at the U.S. Department of Treasury.
In her roles at U.S. Treasury and prior to that in financial services at top tier asset managers, a bulge bracket bank, and a global macro hedge fund, Ms. Hammer witnessed first-hand the tremendous changes to the financial sector before, during, and since the financial crisis. She will share with the Wharton Club her experiences in the industry, her work on policy during the current and former Presidential Administrations, and her insight into changes in the financial regulatory framework and the emergence of fintech, blockchain, and cryptocurrency.
