About:
Tracy “Ty” Moore II, AB ‘06, President, Harvard Alumni Association, 2023–24
Since serving as First Class Marshal his senior year, Tracy "Ty" Moore II has made it a priority to be actively engaged in the Harvard alumni community. After moving back to Cincinnati in 2006, Ty became involved in his local club, shortly thereafter joining the board of the Harvard Club of Cincinnati and becoming an alumni interviewer. In 2015, he began his service on the Harvard Alumni Association (HAA) Board of Directors as an Elected Director. Ty has been on the board ever since and currently serves as President of the HAA. Professionally, Ty is an impact-driven, serial entrepreneur and co-founder of VeraVis (pronounced ver-a-VEES), a leadership development and executive coaching firm. Previously, he co-founded and led multiple for-profit and nonprofit ventures, including two nationally-recognized tech startups. Ty graduated cum laude with an A.B. in Classics in 2006.
Sarah Karmon, Associate Vice President and Executive Director, Harvard Alumni Association
A longtime member of the Harvard community, Sarah Karmon became associate vice president and executive director of the HAA in January 2023, after serving for three years as the HAA’s deputy executive director. In that role, she oversaw all operational aspects of the HAA, working with colleagues from across the Schools and central administration in support of Harvard’s more than 400,000 alumni around the world. Sarah also played a leading role in bringing the Classes of 2020 and 2021 back to campus for special in-person Commencement events in May. As associate vice president and executive director, Sarah is responsible for the strategic direction of the HAA and leads a network of more than 17,500 alumni volunteers. Those volunteers are committed to sustaining communities of alumni in support of Harvard’s mission and they are an important conduit of alumni viewpoints and sentiment toward the University.
