Walking Tour: Food & Culture in Philadelphia's Chinatown
This walking tour, which our professional guide describes as “a history tour with heavy snacking,” will include several short stops to try a range of foods as she shares the history of the area. This tour provides visitors with excellent insight into the neighborhood's culinary possibilities and the distinctive personality of this diverse Asian neighborhood. Tour distance is approximately 1 mile (1.5 km).
At each food stop, you choose which treats you want to taste, from pineapple buns and mooncakes to bubble tea. You choose what to eat and how much to spend. The suggested amount to bring is between $20 to $30 cash, depending on your appetite. You may also want to bring a reusable grocery bag since you will want to bring samples home to share!
