The Black Journey: Walking Tour of Philadelphia

Celebrate Black History Month with #harvardphilly on an inspiring heritage tour led by knowledgeable local guides who bring history to life. Walk in the footsteps of enslaved people, abolitionists, slaveholders and founding fathers and hear about prominent early African-Americans. The tour will visit sites including Independence Hall, Congress Hall, and Congo Square.

Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to ensure a prompt start.

Dress comfortably for walking (Harvard swag encouraged!) and check the weather for any necessary preparations.
The tour guide will meet us with a red, black, and green flag.

Location:  The tour will meet at Market Street Entrance of the Independence Visitor Center 
(599 Market St., Philadelphia). Look for a red, black, and green flag.

Time: 11am-12:30 pm 

Cost: $25 per person

Space is limited to 20 spots (plus waitlist). Open to Ivy Plus Clubs.
