Group Tour of Winterthur Garden and Museum

The Stanford Club invites Harvard Club members to join them at Winterthur, the unique national treasure in Delaware, for a guided garden tour and a self-guided museum tour, followed by lunch. 

Nestled in the rolling hills of Delaware's Brandywine Valley, the historic 1,000 acre Winterthur estate encompasses a resplendent mansion with stunning interiors, a magnificent 60-acre naturalistic garden, and an extraordinary collection of American decorative arts.  Winterthur is the former family home of Henry Francis du Pont (1880 ~ 1969), a renowned horticulturist and antique collector.

Time: 10:00 AM ~ 1:00 PM

Schedule:

  • 10:00 AM meet up at Visitor Center 
  • 10:15  AM ~ 11:15 AM: Garden Walk with Tour Guide
  • 11:15 AM ~ 12:00 PM: Explore the mansion/museum 
  • 12:00 PM ~  1:00 PM:   Boxed Lunch

Location: Winterthur Museum, Garden and Library, 5105 Kennett Pike, Wilmington, DE 19807

Cost: $49 per adult / $32 per Child (3-12). Includes boxed lunch.
