Zervas Distinguished Professor of Neurosurgery at Harvard Medical School. She has a longstanding interest in the relationship between brain and behavior, and in environmental issues. In 2016 she spent a year as a Fellow at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard University where she studied the neurobiology of reward circuitry and its relevance to pro-environmental behavior.  For full bio, click here

About the Venue:

The National Liberty Museum (NLM) offers a contemporary perspective on the boldest, most innovative concept in American history: that liberty is – and must be – a shared pursuit if it is ever truly to be “for all.”  The museum is the culmination of the life’s work of Irvin Borowsky, a proud lifelong Philadelphian, distinguished publisher, art collector, and philanthropist. In founding the NLM, he was seeking not just to present a collection of art and artifacts, but rather to illustrate that liberty is a fragile concept whose survival requires us to understand, respect, and actively engage with one another.
