Kalmar Nyckel Tall Ship Sailing Event
Sail the Delaware River on the tall ship Kalmar Nyckel, a re-creation of the 1600’s ship which first brought settlers to New Sweden (Delaware) in 1638. We will set sail from the Historic New Castle public dock, adjacent to New Castle Battery Park. RSVP by May 7th.

Cost: $68 adults and teens. $47 kids up to age 12

Please arrive at the dock by 9:30 AM, board at 9:45 AM.
Notes: When under sail, people can help work the main ropes if they wish. The ship is not handicapped accessible nor handicap friendly. There are a ramp, steps, and handrail. Snacks & beverages available for purchase on board. Kid-friendly. Prior to sailing, the Kalmar Nyckel will need the name of each passenger.
OPTIONAL LUNCH: We have a 1:00 PM group reservation at Jessop’s Tavern (traditional American) for those who would like lunch together after the sailing. Jessop’s is a short walk from the dock. A $10/person no-show deposit is required by the restaurant; this $10 is returned to you at lunch.
